Care, Cleaning and Use
Our poly furniture is made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), and is extremely durable and resistant to most corrosive substances, chemicals and solvents. It will not rot, splinter or be damaged by wood boring insects and does not promote bacterial growth. It contains UV inhibitors to resist fading and will never need to be painted or stained.
To clean poly furniture and keep it looking new, just use non-abrasive soap and warm water as often as you wish. For more stubborn scuffs/marks, a Magic Eraser™ or a soft brush and non-abrasive cleaners may also be used. A pressure washer may be used, but never exceed 1500psi or allow the nozzle to come within 12” of the furniture or it may damage the surface of the furniture. For rust stains from contact with iron, Iron Out™ may be used. Chewing gum, ink or marker may be pre-treated with WD-40™ before finishing with soap and water.
Placing flower pots or similar items onto the furniture can leave a stain, so use a barrier to prevent staining. Do not place hot items on surface of furniture to avoid melting.
In areas where the furniture comes into contact with saltwater or saltwater mist such as coastal areas, be sure to regularly rinse furniture with fresh water to minimize potential for corrosion of stainless steel hardware and extend the life of the product.
15 Year Residential/5 Year Commercial Limited Product Warranty
Cumberland Outdoor Furnishings, LLC (hereafter referred to as COF) warrants, to the original purchaser, that our poly furniture will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of fifteen (15) years for residential use and five (5) years for commercial use, starting from the original purchase date. At our option, COF will repair or replace to product in question at no charge for parts and labor after an inspection of said defect by COF or one of our dealers (shipping/delivery charges may apply). If we choose to replace the aforementioned product and the exact product is no longer available at time of warranty service, we may substitute a product of similar value and function.
Stainless steel swivels and glider arms are warranted for 2 years. Stainless steel chains and hardware are warranted against corrosion. Zinc plated steel swing chains and eye bolts are not warranted against corrosion. Stainless steel hardware is not warranted in coastal areas, near saltwater pools, or other environments with highly corrosive atmospheres.
This warranty does not cover scratching, chipping, denting or other surface damage due to normal wear or abuse. Some expansion and contraction during extreme temperature and humidity cycles is normal and is not considered a material or manufacturing defect and is not covered by this warranty.
This warranty only covers the merchandise itself and COF assumes no liability for personal injury or property damage as it relates to any malfunction or defect. This warranty does not cover damage due to unauthorized service or repair, normal wear and tear, abuse, misuse or any attempt to use the product in a manner other than that for which it is customarily intended. Alteration of the product voids this warranty.
